RISD Librarians provide research assistance and are available to help you develop a method for approaching your topic. Librarians can recommend search strategies and resources. For questions ranging from quick to in-depth, whether it's doing research for a studio project, a written assignment, finding imagery or sustained research for your degree project or thesis, contact a librarian for assistance.
Each RISD Librarian and the Archivist liaison to three departments. Liaisons can facilitate requests for materials, respond to your questions, and direct your suggestions and concerns regarding the Library for review and consideration. Librarians can work with faculty and students, either individually or in the classroom to find effective ways to locate, gather, organize and evaluate information.
If you're not sure who to ask, begin by contacting your Library Liaison.
